Early April was a marvelous time to enjoy a nearly empty campground. The camp host was very knowledgeable and helpful on things to do and places to explore. The open bathroom was centrally located, clean, and well stocked. I am looking forward to returning and enjoying more of the area.

We were there for 4 nights & 5 days. Saw the "host" once as we were leaving. The sites, 8 & 12, were dirty and unmowed. As we visited with other family members, they noted the same things with their campsites. We walked around and noted most of sites needed cleaning and mowing. We are back there in August, we hope things are improved. Most sites were empty most of the time we were there

We initially booked the nearby Driftwood II campground (which turned out to be a parking lot with a picnic bench). There was not enough space for a tent let alone 2 tents. That campsite should not be advertised as standard or tent site by recreation.gov. Writing review here because once cancelled they do not allow full refund or review. We drive 3.5 hours to be disappointed. So thankful Lagoon campground was nearby and a lifesaver. Network was not too good so we had to drive to near Florence to get coverage to make reservation. Very nice campsite.

We had a great time here and actually ended our road trip from Washington here before heading back. Though the site we reserved had a big opening in the back and we could see our neighbors behind us as well as next to us. Not really private. But both neighbors were awesome and made our trip 10x better. The place is sandy so just be prepared. There are also raccoons, so keep your food stored properly or even put it back in the car. They’re not afraid and would take your food in plain sight if you don’t shoo them away.

Nice campground. Nice trails in the area. The wildlife host had good information and was very friendly. I really wish other campers would learn to be considerate however. We had several people around our site that were unreasonably loud. The camping experience has really changed over the years and it's a shame.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
