Theres a cute little snake that lives by the water spigot he is my bestie. There were some mosquitos in mid-July but nothing crazy, I got bit once or twice. The beach was really windy and spooky.

I was sad to see no First Come First Serve sites available. Even for the No-Shows who lost their reservation. About half the sites were empty yet no more were available. My site, 13, was very narrow for my RV yet there was no way to for me to change without knowledge of when the vacancy was open. No host on-site to impose Forest Service Rules of No Shows losing site after 24 hr. No way to know periodic reservation. No Self Pay option. Site 13 is poorly trimmed. Recreation . Gov should also have a prorated booking fee based on nights purchased.

I booked a campsite at Bluebill through "Recreation.gov" and wash charge $32. When I arrived the site was occupied; there was no camp host to assist me. I called "Recreation.gov" and was originally offered a refund but or another site; I wasn't sure what to do so I asked the agent to make a note of the situation and that I would call back. When I called back a 2nd agent claimed I had "checked in" and would not issue a refund. He said he would have to submit a "request" for a refund to "the facility"-- but there was no one at "the facility" that I spoke with and no way to verify that my campsite was occupied and that I was not able to use it. Completely unacceptable. I paid $32 to some 3rd party agency and got no service or campsite.

Nice campground In a pretty spot. Sites are a little closer together than I prefer.

This maybe could have been a good site under non-holiday or weekend circumstances but we had last minute decided to camp there along our route heading south over the 4th of July weekend so it was pretty rowdy. We expected crowds and occasional fireworks but it went on all night long, too close for comfort. Since we were passing through, we didn't realize that it was in a dunes area where dune buggies, motorbikes, jeeps, etc. are revving up and down the dunes all night long. Maybe during the week it would feel more like a normal camping experience but this was def just a staging area for a party. Then in the morning at 6am a woman was screaming in a fight with another woman at the top of their lungs and it woke up the whole campsite, probably adjacent sites too, and the camp hosts didn't do anything about it, so it went on for at least an hour and a half. We just packed up and left since it just felt like it was only going to get worse. The woman's friends had called the cops on her and as we were driving out, the cops were heading in. Overall I'd say avoid this place on weekends/holiday weekends if you're looking for a mellow beach camp experience... or anything that feels like a peaceful escape where you can enjoy nature and avoid human drama. Or just go somewhere completely different, I can't imagine the engines ever really calm down since the area seems to cater to it.

Great family campground close to dunes. Could hear ATV noise in the background but not enough to keep us up. Great freshwater spigots near all sites. Sites felt private with tree coverage.

Someone or something had taken a large poop in the only area to put your tent at this site(13) so we had to try to put our tent on the concrete. Campground host was incommunicado.
