Great campground with large sites and space between sites. Made the campground feel private and relaxing. The lake is very low this summer and the road into the campground is long and difficult making this a tough challenge for those with trailers.

This was my 4th trip to Vermillion. While I love the campground itself, the weather is not well desired. Three times I've been rained and hailed on. This last camping trip was the worst. Usually the rain/hail is tolerable as it only lasts an hour or so each day. This trip, it rained regularly and the hail was the size of marbles. The lake is also very, very low. Accessing it is difficult to do.

The road to Vermillion was not well marked and there was some confusion as to when and where to turn, where to check in, etc. Once we found the site, the camp host was very nice. The site was spacious and lovely. However, our camp neighbors were heavy drinkers and very loud into the late hours. Although the host was nearby, he never told the people to quiet down. We got no sleep.
