Was a water issue at the campground, but it didn't stop them from charging full price. Campers were allowed to become belligerently drunk and yelling so loud they could be heard from an entirely different loop. I got there at 7pm and left less than 12hrs later. Wont be back.

Sad that so many trees were removed prior to the bark beetle coming through and killing trees. the campground lost so much shade and privacy. Still one of the best places to go. New personnel members are so much nicer than the old group. Thanks for that. Our family has been going there for approximately 50 years. Very special place

We loved this campground. We had two sites, both had plenty of space and conveniently located with a short walk to the restroom. It was a quiet, family-friendly experience. Our camping neighbors were respectful. The creek up the road from the campground was beautiful, and we enjoyed fishing there in the afternoon. The staff and camp host were friendly, and kept the bathrooms clear and fully-stocked with toilet paper. There is a small store as you enter the campground, and the town of Shaver Lake is about 12 miles away. Definitely worth a visit to Shaver Lake, where you can rent boats, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, etc. Bugs were not too bad and thought it was hot, we were able to find shade. Great experience!

We stayed at site 15 in the B loop. Many trees are gone so around 1-5 pm you will have full sun on the area. There are shaded areas, just not in the parking area.No WiFi, water is not potable so make sure to prepare. The camp managers are excellent at keeping up bathrooms. The area is wonderful with the rock slides and pools nearby. We enjoyed also having McKinley grove is also a wonderful nearby attraction for big redwoods. I just forgot how loud neighbors can be when trying to go to sleep and then in the morning. Overall it was a great experience getting outdoors. Get ready for the dirt to get everywhere!
