We were very apprehensive about this campground for many reasons. No hook ups, pit toilets and while very close to park entry it was quite a way from the valley. Well, we were so glad we chose this campground. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was because it really needs to have a dishwashing station, otherwise it was a 5+. The hosts, Jim and Holly were amazing people. They kept the grounds clean and the bathrooms were immaculate. It was actually the best pit toilets we have ever used and we camp a lot!. Jim and Holly were very helpful with any issues that came up and were always there to greet us with a smile and ask if we needed anything other than firewood which they would deliver daily. The stream along the campground was beautiful and provided a great back drop. We had no cell service or wifi but just up the road in Wawona, we were able to get great service and we also found a market and bakery that were outstanding. We were so close to the park that we got there early enough to avoid any entry lines It is a drive from the Valley but the quiet smallness of the campground and the wonderful hosts made up for any of that inconvenience. Definitely will be back, especially if Jim and Holly are the hosts.

The campsite host Larry was very rude and unprofessional. We had a fire burning and was accused of having a bomb fire and got a citation due to his false accusations. He came to our campsite looked at the fire and said everything looks goof and left. next day the Rangers showup saying that he got a call from larry the campsite host and left us a ticket then Larry accused us of not paying for the campsite just harassing us. Made it the worst vacation ever. They need to fire Larry a

A wonderful small campgroud, close to Yosemite entrance but apart from the masses. Shady sites close to a creek.

Sharon our camp host was outstanding! She and her daughter Lou kept the restrooms clean and checked in with us daily.

One of the worst camp hosts ever in the 50 plus years we’ve been camping there

Have been coming to this campground for more than 50 years. This year was different. After a long car ride we were stopped at the entrance and told we couldn’t enter until 2:00 pm. New rules. Not a very friendly atmosphere! Our outhouse had no toilet paper on several mornings and wasn’t filled until we asked. It was also not cleaned. In fact the whole campground was dirty. I picked up a third of a bag of trash including a glass beer bottle by the stream. Host is only on duty from 8 to 8 but had to wake her up at 10:00am for toilet paper. We were told the campground is under new management. Spoke to a supervisor but did no good. Campground was full of broken trees and leaves from a previous wind storm and wasn’t cleaned up. This blocked some of the sites. Please do some cleanup and provide toilet paper for your guests. Most of all PLEASE let your guests in after 12 but before 2 if they arrive early. Also a big THANK YOU to Gina a previous host who always made you feel welcomed.❤️
