Luis, the camp host was great, he helped us get situated in our site when we arrived a day early. We chose a First Come First Served site and got our tent setup, the host was going to come back later to collect payment. Meanwhile "the office" 30 minutes away, on the other side of the lake booked our FF site to someone who walked in off the street. They didnt bother to check if someone had already claimed the spot. Since we were there first, hours earlier, we werent leaving. special accommodations had to be made for the other guy due to "The office" mistake. I heard the office tell Luis over the phone its not our site. Please explain First come first served to me... Only the camp host should have power to determine who came first.

Aside from booking drama, we got loud oblivious campers on all sides of us pointing bright LED lights our way at night and partying well after 10pm. There is a kids camp right next door that makes announcements all day, plays Revali and taps to start and end the day over a loud speaker.

If its nature you seek, look elsewhere.. The place was well maintained but the atmosphere sucks, it must be too close to Fresno to be peaceful.

Very nice campground. Listen to the camp host when they warn you about bears and propper storage of food. Our neighbors in the tent camping area had their food bins dragged off twice. Once at night around 2:30am and again in the afternoon while left unattended. Please be responsible with your food to minimize bear encounters. No showers in the area but we usually hang a water jug in a tree for a quick rinse as needed.
