We were surprised that the A and C loop sites all have bear vaults, but the B loop does not. Of course, our reservation was a site in the B loop. So, if you make a reservation, select a site in the A or C loop. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. The trails around the campground (Traces Trail and Mathews Arm Trail) were nice, especially in the evening. Skyline Caverns (not part of the national park system) was interesting. A bit touristy, but worth the tour of the caves.

The rangers at the check-in station were extremely helpful in getting me to my site quickly and recommending some nearby hikes based on the time of day. The site was easy to access and had adequate space and lots of bathrooms and water close by. Great stay!

Relatively quiet campground with good facilities and helpful staff

It is a great, quiet location. Nothing overly special about the site but it definitely gets the job done. There are a lot of bugs in the evening so be prepared for that. Rather than our group hanging out at the picnic table, we had to stay in our car just because the bugs were out of control. To be fair, it was a humid day after a storm rolled through. The bugs may be less intense on an average day.

Great campground as a base of operations for other hikes! It definitely has other campsites nearby (so you can hear people and see them) but you can find ones that are a little more removed than others. We felt it was easy to stay socially distanced from other groups as well (just left the bathroom when other folks came in and brushed our teeth by campsite).

The rangers were very kind and helpful as well!
