I love this campground! Apalachian trail is around it and their are plenty of hiking trails nearby for all skill levels.

Campground was quiet and clean,. Bathrooms were well maintained and sites were nicely spaced out with vegetation that provided visual block from other campsites. If tenting, check photos carefully as many sites are sloped. The southern part of the park is less crowded than the central and northern sections so the campground feels more remote. Visitors info center, wayside and camp store close at 5pm but showers and bathrooms are open 24 hours. Very limited pre-prepared food available currently at wayside due to covid restrictions. Overall a very nice campground and one we would love to return to next visit.

This campground was great. Loved the location. It was quiet and the sites were spaced out well and maintained. Our campsite was somewhat rocky, however, so would choose another site next time as we were limited as to where we could set up our tent and still were set up over some small rocks. This would be a better site for someone with a camper.
