Site G180. Planned to camp with a 25 ft hybrid. Loop was sloped with a semi flat spot at the top. After several attempts there was no perfect spot where the steps would open and the slide wasnt blocked by a tree. Might be worth a call to the office prior to booking. On the bright side it looked like a great tent site.

Literally the perfect campground.

Campground was clean but the lodge is very understaffed. We waited over an hour to be seated for dinner one night at the Lodge. Once seated it was another 45 minutes to get our (average) food. Also- most of the stores close a 5pm sharp, so if you are hiking you could miss out on getting what you need. The firewood that they sell is over $7 for a small bundle and won't burn. We ended up driving to Luray and bringing in different wood just so we could have a fire. Showers and Laundry area were very well maintained. The great room in the Lodge has sticky floors, dirty windows, and under the couches and chairs you can see an inch of dust and cobwebs. Everyone working here is very nice, but they need way more employees. We camped and had a RV.

Excellent resources, a friendly atmosphere, and great views from the amphitheater. Tons of beautiful sights nearby.
