This is a great campground, not as crowded as Big Meadows or Matthews Arm. The First Come sites in the A loop are especially nice and have good cell service and local TV coverage. Many sites provide a nice sunset view.

Stayed only 1 night on a Thursday. Registration was efficient and the attendant was helpful. Campsites and restrooms were clean. Generators in our camp area was not allowed; was happy about that. Except for an occasional dog barking, the campground was quiet. Saw several deer grazing through the campsites.

Everything was great. The location, the noise level and the park staff were excellent

A great place to stay! We loved the arboretum area and talks! The overlook was great! Will definitely be back!

The Park Ranger who checked us in was very nice, we showed up a week before our reservation (I misbooked) and she got the reservation moved to a "first come first served" spot in the park so we didn't have to pay for both.If you have the option, I'd recommend trying for one of those first come first served spots... we got our pick of the lot by showing up ~5 on a Friday!

Our campsite was great, private and large, however not all sites have a "bear" box and ours did not. Since we were tent camping it required us to keep almost everything in the truck, which was doable. The campground despite being full was still quiet at night and in the mornings! The bathroom (not showers) on our loop within the campground were not always as clean as I would have liked and with Covid that was not good. The utility room for dish washing was also not clean - I still used it as there is no water on any of the sites. There was plenty of HOT water though. The camp store had everything you could want or need, and the showers at the camp store were very clean . They are only open from 9-5 and are closed them 1pm to 3pm (for cleaning) so you need to plan when to go. ahead of time.Loft Mountain is a beautiful area, the sunrise down at the camp store grounds is breathtaking, and we were able to do many wonderful hikes from this area. I would recommend this campground.

We stayed 2 nights at a non-electric tent site in late September, 2019. The site was clean and had a picnic table and fire ring. Bathrooms were also clean (in terms of a campground bathroom), and we enjoyed the camp store.
