Everything was great except the weather. It was extremely foggy on Friday, April 11th, and when we arrived at our campsite, it was snowing. We were happy that we had a campervan!! Definitely appreciated the heated bathroom in the morning!

The park is beautiful. As far as the showers- Had to pay $5 in quarters for a 10 minute shower and water never got warm, let alone hot. Didnt shower the 2nd day because of this. The Big Meadows campground is nice and was only at about 50% capacity when I was there, which made it nice. Was very happy with the amount of restrooms throughout the campground. Will go back.

This excursion was simply a way point to my final destination but it was a very nice spot. Unlike the following night at a different spot, the site was very quiet, even before curfew. Check-In was very easy and efficient. Highly recommended.

Nice place to stay, although expensive for wood, showers, and any camping accessories that you forgot to bring. The camp store is not associated with the park. The website provided to make reservations did not explain that the site that we chose was a walk-in site, however, the park was nice enough to make the adjustment when we arrived. This website needs to be updated and become more friendly or provide you a phone number to call to make the reservations.

Each campground has its own little nuances, this one was quite nice, clean baths, nice people, good experience.

Campground was incredibly quiet, site was great because the tree canopy opened up there and night dark sky was filled with stars. A60 generator prohibited Highly recommend the Blackrock Summit Trail for amazing vistas with a little taste of thE AT going through the Park. A short walk up to the Blackrock trailhead from the campground to see the sunset does not disappoint. Will definitely return.

I loved our spot. It was private and close to the restroom. Clean showers and a decent camp store on the site. I would go back again.
