Nice campgrounds the weather wasn't as accommodating on our stay.

I loved your campground and may experience there. What I didnt like was that I could not make a booking including a Friday from home. When I was there I could easily add on the Friday in person. Therefore I must assume a discrepancy between availability shown online (and 600 miles away) and the reality of availability for the same place when I was already present! This was a very close call for canceling my whole trip, which would have been a shame! I risked 600 miles of driving for an incomplete stay - but I got it completed finally! Thank you - but please be more considerate in handling your online tools!

Great campground, very well maintained. Great facilities, clean, and trash taken out daily. Our campsite was on the corner which provided much more space than most campsites. Grass was mowed and paths throughout the campground. Wil return soon!

As the name suggests, it is very windy. Facilities are excellent with hot water, and a nice location as well. Foraging for wood is allowed, and there is plenty.

Nice corner site that felt larger than the surrounding sites. The restrooms are directly across but there is enough space between that it isnt bothersome. Lovely campground, well equipped and clean!

This is a nice campground with many amenities. We were close to numerous hiking trails and other activities in the park. This campground is pretty open and noisy. Not very many private camp sites with decent tree coverage. We did greatly appreciate the rules regarding generator operating times. Hosts were kind and helpful.

Clean bathrooms with locations close to most sites. Grounds kept up nicely. Good place to have as homebase to explore the local NP hikes. Lodge is great to have nearby for a drink or meal.

Great site, located next to water source, bathrooms and utility sink. Site does get some high traffic for other campers walking to the restroom and utility sink. Plenty of space between sites, and open space with lots of area.

Extraordinary !! From start to finish. Check-in assistance from the Rangers. We couldn't fit (maneuver around poles) our camper into reserved site so Rangers quickly helped up find an alternative. The amenities were just a bonus. Loved having the fire ring with grate for grilling and our own personal camp fire. Felt very safe and secure with Rangers walking around insuring grounds were maintained and people respecting the campgrounds and animals. Will be back again and again.

Beautiful place. Hiking trails are well marked plus opportunities to hike a bit of the Appalachian Trail. Rock scramble on Bear Fence Mountain was fun. Some exposure and had to be extra careful on wet rock. Peak color in late October made for excellent views.

Great place to camp while visiting Blue Ridge or Skyline parkway for sightseeing or hiking!

Had a great experience hiking with kids all around Big Meadows while we stayed. Camping was fun and our kids loved it - we felt a little packed in and close to the bathrooms but made the most of it since it was a last minute trip.
