Excellent campground and our camp site was also great. Good southern exposure for solar panels and good northern view for you Starlink customers. But not a breath of cellular service on either Verizon nor AT&T! My WeBoost was no help, either. However, the Lodge is less than a mile away and had great WiFi in a comfortable lounge. This was helpful when planning our day or checking the weather. We didnt use the showers which are located outside the main campground loops, but the bathrooms were spotless. Big Meadows is centrally located and convenient to many of the most popular areas. A great spot.

Site is level and reasonably private, and close to the restrooms. We always enjoy our stats in Shenandoah NP - we are year several times a year.

terrible that they want you to use your phone when you arrive and there are open spots like in the fall. A sign to "go to visitors center and use the app to book a site" that is right in front of you". terrible. allow local site registration/payment by filling out a slip, etc. and keep some sites for first come first served and locals to use please.
