Nice clean shady campground. Lots of toilet buildings and hot showers available for $5. The restaurants and stores were well run and supplied. A fun experience. If you come in summer, you may get to enjoy the little black gnats, no one warned us about

Perfect in nearly every way. Proximity to bathrooms from any site was nice. Very well maintained grounds. Not too close to other sites. Pad was level- great fire ring.pucninc table setup. Appreciated that there were not excessive nite time lights throughout. Only bummer was 7:30 am weed/ whacking.

Great campground, easy to reach amenities. The only thing to note is the showers. They are $2 each and mine was a little cold!

I come here yearly. I love the having access to the lodge for meals and sunset views from the outside porch. The night sky viewing is awesome! The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. I like the ranger led talks and hikes. I feel like I come home when I camp here.

We stayed in the B loop one night and the I loop the next. They were really different so: B loop in more in the meadow (in May the wild flowers were blooming), the sites were bigger (but not private or shaded), the bathrooms are recently renovated and have hot water. The I loop side was much more shaded and cooler and the sites around the perimeter are amazing, BUT the bathrooms were way more rustic and (at least one) didn't have hot water and the driveways are not level. I loved staying here and would definitely stay on the wooded side again. Oh and the waystation shop has a great beer selection.

Campground was clean and so were the bathhouses. Some sites seem very close together.

Big Meadows is a great place for families; campground, hiking, multiple restaurants, retail, and places for picnic. There's also a gas station. Because it's such a family friendly place, it can get very crowded. Prepare for lines, traffic, and crowds near the entrance of Big Meadows.

Big Meadows was a surprise in a couple of ways. Everything was spotlessly clean. Thats hard to achieve in such a large campground. I credit this to rangers and the standards they hold themselves to and set for others. Another reflection was the overall respectful behavior of campers and staff. Again I think staff modeling has a big impact on campers. Every ranger with whom I interacted, including a volunteer, was highly knowledgeable, professional, and each went above and beyond to be helpful. Honestly, I am not one to write reviews, and I expect park employees to do their jobs as a matter of course, but the staff at Big Meadows earned my thanks. I told a couple of them personally. I hope this somehow reaches the rest.

Always love staying at big meadows. Clean, quiet, and not too over crowded.
