This site is awesome. Great shade for tents and we fit an 8 person and 6 person with ease. Not completely level so we just made sure our heads were uphill. T-mobile had service - 5G about 70% of the time. Lots of wildlife passing through so make sure food is in car.... we even had bear poo!

Excellent central location for great hiking options. Nice campsite big enough for our large tent, with more privacy than anticipated. The warm bathroom was greatly appreciated in the 33-degree weather. Gorgeous park with excellent hiking.

A073 is a flat and large site at Big Meadows. We had some gnats around at times but otherwise its a great site with shade.

The campground was very nice. It had decent sites, with good centralized locations to the bathrooms, trash/recycling stations, and water points. Unfortunately during my stay, there was work being done to the water lines so I believe all water points were down. As a result, we purchased gallon jugs at the camp store which also convenient. The showers were very nice and clean for a campground! I would recommend this to a friend and would visit again in the future.

The cooler police took my cooler and put it in confinement. Went to bail it out and was tool that first we must come to an agreement. Been camping here many times and I know the rules. I did get my cooler back and all would have been forgotten but I then observed the camp site opposite mine where a large cooler and other camping supplies sat on the picnic table for many hours unattended and many park employees passed by without confiscating. Still I did enjoy trip.

Shenandoah and Big Meadows campground is an amazing wonder. Such a short drive from the cities and such a retreat into the wilderness. Highly recommended!

Nice shaded sites, spaced out. Good access to drinking water as well as bathrooms, utility sinks and trails. Nice laundry/shower facility near entrance walking distance from our tent
