Our site was beautiful and campground was nice. We would've liked to have known that none of the water within the campground was turned on as we would have filled up at the dump station prior to getting settled. Unfortunately, we had terrible weather. Would come again in warmer months.

Awesome views, close to the meadow for stargazing, and the nearby trails were peaceful.

What a beautiful place! All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our site was lovely and the park was huge. Can't wait to return

Big Meadows is the biggest campground in Shenandoah National Park. With that being said, it can be like camping in the city. Even though some of the bathrooms are older, they were clean and functional. Take advantage of the Big Meadow and do some star gazing while you are there. Be advised the showers cost money; so, have your quarters ready if you want a shower. When we were there, it was $5.00 for 10 minutes.

We loved our stay at Big Meadows. The location close to the visitor’s center was particularly helpful as we often drove by late at night or early morning to use the wifi, fill up on water, and use a cleaner bathroom. This particular campsite was huge and definitely meant for an RV but we found a cozy spot for our tent and loved the Mountain View through the trees. That being said, this E section of the campground felt extremely open with little privacy from everyone around you, this site was one of the best spots around as it was huge and faced the Appalachian trail and the mountains. We opted not to use the bear box and kept everything in the car because it seemed to house a massive nest of earwigs. We also did enjoy having access to showers in the campground, $5 for 10 minutes was well worth it after a couple long, hot days.

Great campground! Neat and comfortable. We picked one of the best sites, next to Appalachian trail and were able to talk to many through hikers!

Great location! Convenient to nice trails and part of the AT. We had an amazing meal at the lodge. Would definitely recommend.
