Camping at big meadows is great. Clean campsites- everyone very nice. Sites big with fire rings and picnic tables. Wood and ice are pricey and you are not allowed to bring fire wood in.

Big Meadows is a wonderful campground.All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and knowledgeable. Good access to trails and great views. The bathrooms were clean and warm. The only negative was the showers cost $5 for ten minutes which is unheard of. A great place to camp overall!

Spent hours doing research for a good site. Reserved it ahead of time. When we arrived we were informed that we would be in a different site. A beyond terrible extremely uneven site. Took about an hour to try to get the RV as level as possible. We were told they would be working on our reserved site. We never saw any work being done on our site we reserved ahead of time.

Was there when weather from hurricane Ian came through. With no media communications about weather we had no warning of the weather from the camp host or rangers. When asking information about the weather was conflicting reports from NP visitor center, wayside stop and campground rangers. Not consistent information for us to make a decision to stay there during the weather. The campground roads need repaved . in bad state. Love the campground and area.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Campground was very clean and well organized. Location is great for middle park hikes including Bear fence, Stony Man and White Oak.

Big Meadows is a very good campground for enjoying nature and relaxing. The only downfall is that some of the camp spots are rocky and muddy, especially after heavy rains. You may want to take a look before booking a site if youve not been there before. A few more restrooms would be nice too.
