Big Meadows campground is the best. Centrally located to fantastic hikes. CG has all the services needed to support no hook-up sites. Rangers are very knowledgeable. Big Meadows Lodge has excellent food and service.

Beautiful campground, privacy, nicely spaced and wooded sites. Two bathroom were not working, so that wasnt good. Great meal at the lodge.

Excellent level sites for RVs. Nice spacious sites, with fire pit and picnic table. Easy access to dump station and fresh potable waterGenerator hours perfect! Easy access to day hikes

May Spring flowers and birds in Shenandoah NP were fabulous. Will definitely plan a trip next Spring as well!

Driving along Skyline drive there are multiple opportunities to pull in and take pictures.

We had a problem with the fridge in our camper and the Ranger directed us to the Campground Hosts. The hosts, Nico and Sherry, were really nice and helped us solve the problem.

We visited on a peak fall color weekend, and the park quickly became crowded during the Saturday of our stay. Friday, however, was less busy. We found a trail to hike, and parking was not an issue. Camping felt crowded. The amenities were clean and great, but this is probably not the place to go for quiet camping away from people! Overall we had fun!

Campsite was clean. Grass was all mowed. Restrooms were clean. Site: E193 great for small RV (less than 22 feet) and tow vehicle to fit off road.

Sites were nicely spaced apart. For the most part, lots of shade. The temperature was easily 10 degrees lower than in the cities in the valley. Big Meadows location was nice for it's proximity to the lodge which had a lovely seating area, both inside and out where you could catch the sunset and wifi.

Motorhomed at Big meadows for a few days then moved to Loft Mountain. Both campgrounds are excellent. Loft is quieter with less amenities. Big Meadows had more dear and wildlife around which was really neat to see. Shenandoah is awesome wherever you stay .
