Friendly staff. Campground showers and bathrooms were closed, maybe because of the wildfires. I ate dinner at Skyland one night and it was OK but not great.

I love the metal picnic tables. Site was spacious, bathhouse was clean. Great water pressure in the utility sink. Trails were good. Blackberry ice cream at the lodge capped off a perfect weekend

Lovely camp. Camp store has showers, laundry, ice, wood and a friendly manager. He was always cheerful and helpful!!

Stopped on the way down Skyline drive. Being there was not water of electric at the campsite, we were able to manage "off the grid for one day. We enjoyed the hike from the campground to the visitor's center and continued to Dark Hallow falls. Unfortunately the visitor's center was not fully open and the restaurant was not closed due to COVID. The meadow looked interesting adn we would have like to hike there more. I would return.

We backpacked a section of the Appalachian Trail through Shenandoah stopping at a couple of the parks Campgrounds along the way. One suggestion I have would be to include which sites have a bear box. Because the website indicated that each campsite has a bear box, I did not bring a bear canister. When we arrived, we noticed that about half the sites did not include a bear box. We ended up asking a neighboring site to share the bear box but it might be easier to list if there is one or not at each site so campers are prepared. Overall.... love this campground and Shenandoah. Go visit the tap room at the lodge for blackberry cobbler or ice cream. A short walk and a great end to the day.

Absolutely beautiful campground! Clean and we'll kept. We had a great stay and the firewood, showers, and laundry were an added bonus. We will be back!

Every thing one would expect from a national park camp ground. Quiet, surrounded by beautiful scenery and even being startled awake by foxes in my camp in the middle of the night!
