This is a beautiful campground. Sites are wooded and lovely, not to mention the Appalachain trail runs right through it, access to excellent hiking.

Shared site was a little less than ideal but thats what you sign up for if you take that risk! Had a good time. Very dog friendly, lots of trails. Fantastic views. Had bear boxes which are always nice. Will be back!

Camp ground is beautiful. More options than most National park campgrounds. Food options, Showers are nice. Deer everywhere. But my main issue is the customer service in food options at camp store/carry out and lodge. Went into campstore expecting old diner for breakfast and asked worker- do you serve breakfast? She harshly and rudely said no, and started to walk away. I then said “does the lodge”. She said yes. Good customer service would of said no we dont serve breakfast but lodge does. Then I inquired to camp store cashier..i said “you guys used to have a diner here for breakfast right?” And her answer was “we all used to walk around without masks on too at some point”. Not exaggerating, that was her rude, undermining tone. Her response could of simply been “we closed the diner because of covid”. Went to lodge for breakfast but got there 2 mins before breakfast ended so they refused to sit us. Which wouldn’t of been a big deal but considering the rude service i got at campstore that just added to it. Staff is on defense and rude. I know working with public can be hard, but don’t attack simple people asking basic questions. Never tried to spend any additional time at stores or restaurants after that. Avoid the workers, go for the wildlife and beauty of park.
Problems reserveing site E175. Supervisor Hazel was extremely helpful so my family could stay at sites 173 and 175. Always enjoyable!
