Wonderful campground. We were in site F-202. The sites were well spaced out and our pull-thru was level. Lots of nice trails to hike. Dark Hollow Falls trail was especially nice - the waterfalls were amazing. The views from some of the trails (like behind the Lodge) were spectacular! We definitely hope to come back for another visit.

This is one of our favorite places to visit and this year was no exception. The Ranger quickly helped us deal with a reservation mistake (short one day) which I made and that ensured we could stay for the time we had thought we reserved. It is a beautiful campground.

We had a massive pull through site and the campground was quiet and spectacular. This park is a hiker's paradise. Most of the trails we did were around Big Meadows or within a 15 minute drive -all were great. Defiantly hit up the lodge or taproom for drinks and a light bite after the trails. Do not miss the blackberry ice cream pie!!! Also the bearfence dipa made me an ipa drinker!

Stayed in F202 on a beautiful memorial day weekend. Campground was clean and well kept. Site was very level side to side and front to back. Campground is well laid out with OK space between sites. Showers were clean but hot water not always available. Tons of hiking trails and amenities around and a very natural setting. Plenty of water spigots, bathrooms and trash receptacles.Note about F loop. Sites are very long, but pull-through was no good for our 37' trailer behind crew cab truck. Most of these sites, and ours in particular, have trees at the exit to a narrow road, necessitating a very sharp turn. We had to back out into our neighbor's spot then drive away. I would say only pull through for a small rig - like a mid size truck and pop-up or scamp.

The campground is very peaceful. The sites are well spaced from each other. The best part is that the sites are non electric so gives the best experience of being in the woods. We were lucky to be there on a full moon night which added extra charm to our stay - of course, a visit during the fall is icing on the cake.

We love camping at Big Meadow. We always stop by Big Meadow Lodge Cafe for pizza & DB beer. We did some hiking at Upper Hawkbill to highest point in Shenandoah NP.

Beautiful, spacious campsites. Very clean campground, rest rooms and showers. Central location within the park. Lots of hiking nearby. Wonderful campground.

Big Meadows was an awesome experience. We hiked, attended ranger talks and camped in an RV at Big Meadows Campground. The weather was nice for July. We did bring jackets (rain happens). The showers and laundry facilities were well taken care of. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
