Campground was great, and our campsite was even better. It was away from the road and surrounded by brush so it gave it a more primitive and secluded feeling.

campsite 022 was really damp and cold bc it was totally covered by vegetation. The place where the tent could be pitched was also small and on an incline. It is probably a good spot in the summer months when one seeks protection from the sun and campsites are hard to come by anyways, but for winter camping is not ideal. Nothing rec. gov could do about it as we ourselves booked it online. But we did not know the layout and maybe, at the entrance, the ranger, who may have a better idea of these kinds of spots, could have -- since many other and better campsites were unoccupied -- suggest alternatives. No biggie tho'. We had. a lot of fun.

Camping site at Big meadows was clean and very well organized. Signs on covid-19 and bears were everywhere and clear. Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

The National Parks are always the best, and camping at Big Meadows is no exception! The camp sites are nice, everything is clean, the rangers watch out for you.
