Absolutely wonderful campground! Had an area to hang a hammock and plenty of room to set up a tent and a table and chairs for some games. We had a skunk come into our camp the first night so be careful!

Great campground! Plenty of space for 3 tents. Enough trees to hang at least two hammocks, great for a family adventure!

Access to the AT from campground is cool. Definitely recommend hiking that to the lodge!

BIG place...... get something close to entrance... less noise and fewer traffic. had site 31 pretty good.

Great campground and facilities. Perfect variety of trails from easy to advanced. Trails were also marked well and plenty of information is available at the visitor center. You can be sure to discover breath taking views and experience a relaxing trip.

We absolutely loved our experience at Big Meadows Campground. Everyone was so friendly, from the park staff to other guests. The campground was busy but people respected the quiet hours. We had a walk-in tent site and loved it. So great to be able to have some privacy but still have access to the amenities of a big campground. Already looking forward to our next trip back.

Super friendly and helpful staff! We had reserved two different campsites for our stay (that was all that was available) and when we arrived, the ranger offered us one campsite for both nights that had become available so we wouldnt have to move our stuff. Our tent campsite was perfect. It provided the perfect amount of privacy and shade. The lodge had great food, with gluten free options! Only complaint of campground: restrooms were not very clean; however, it is a campground after all, and Im sure the parks staffing has been affected by Covid. Overall, we had a great experience here, and the accessibility of trails from the Big Meadows location is super convenient. Will definitely stay again.

Had a great time camping with my two sons. We hiked to the top of Old Rag and down around the old Presidential Camp. The park is beautiful and the scenery magnificent. Facilities at the camp were top notch. I love how the deer come right into camp. Can't wait to come back.
