Big Meadows is clean and well organized. I had no trouble with noise. The bathrooms were well lit and even had hot water.

Nice, well maintained campground with bear boxes and fire pits at every site and adequate bathrooms. Showers are coin operated and very clean (there are change exchangers next to the bathrooms as well as a place to buy ice and a laundry room). The only downside is that there is no service but there is only so much you can do about that.

One of the best camping experiences I have had in the eastern half of the USA. Wildlife abounds and appears to not be very distracted by the presence of campers. Deer walk around and graze within feet of you if you do not disturb them. Take care with food and other scented items as raccoons, skunks, and even bears will scavenge your campsite. Waterfalls within hiking distance but the walk will be challenging and it is above 3000ft in elevation so you may feel tired or winded more easily than normal.

We loved this campground! It was my first time camping! The bathrooms were nice and easily accessible. Our camp site was private, but also not too far to walk our belongings from the car. We will be back! We even had deer walk through our camp site.
