Camp host unavailable most of the time and we were asked to remove our American flag from our campsite. Asked us not to use our lantern and other campers complained about our generator even though we only used it during approved hours. When other campers had unleaded dogs chasing deer and other wildlife host couldnt be found anywhere in camp. Most of the time there was a sign posted on her site saying off duty . I had to hunt down a ranger to take care of the problem.

Just a half mile easy walk to beautiful Middle Falls. Camp host Rhonda is a gem, works hard to accommodate everyone

We love this campground! No amenities but that's ok...you have the river, the birds, the Blue sky...what else do you need?

Small campground of 39 sites that are spaced well apart, level and well-maintained with a picnic table, fire ring, bear box, BBQ grill, and space for tent campers.I'm not skilled at backing up my 27' travel trailer without a spotter, and I was quite easily able to back into site #30B that was just a few yards from the McCloud River. An easy half a mile walk takes you to the Middle Falls. You can either walk or drive to the scenic Upper and Lower Falls too. There's always that ONE camper that runs his/her generator for 10 hours a day and the other one that plays loud music until quiet hours, but I can't hold that against the campground. There was a slight odor wafting from the nearby restroom, but overall, I'd definitely recommend staying here. It's a great base camp for exploring the town of Mt. Shasta, Lake Siskiyou, Faery Falls, and Cascade Lake.

Had a wonderful time as usual! Only bad thing was the noisy people in the double site across from us...and thier barking dogs...barked at everything! But we love Fowlers. Cut down some of our favorite bird watching trees but we know it's necessary!

We had a mostly good time at the campground. Our only problem occurred upon arrival. We had brake problems on the way so we were a day late arriving and didnt realize we would lose our spot. There were people in our campsite but the camp host quickly remedied the situation and asked the people to move as they werent set up yet. I find it hard to believe that we could lose our reservation completely by not arriving on the first day. We paid for the campsite and it shouldnt matter if we arrive on time or not. Things happen that are out of our control and shouldnt ruin our whole vacation because we couldnt arrive on time. I didnt know we could lose our spot because we were late arriving and I didnt know who to contact anyway. This policy is not right because its not always in peoples control what happens on their trip. The campsite was paid for and it shouldnt matter when the people arrive. That reservation was made 6 months prior and we had no way of knowing we would have brake problems and have to be late getting repairs and we were unaware of the policy regarding late arrivals. Now that we know next time I will arrive no matter what even if I have to sleep in my car. The whole policy is ridiculous. My campsite was paid for whether I was there or not.
