Really nice campground. Stayed there on a cold stormy night, low elevation meant we only got rain and no snow. Easy campground and site access. Site 6 parking spot was not completely leveled but could make it work. Tables and fire spot in the site. Nice facilities including bathroom, running water, bear secured storage....

Very good tent camping everywhere. No showers but clean bathrooms with flush toilets. High bear activity in the area so just be clean.

Very good, simple campsite with water and toilets. Access to the nearby river is possible. Quite close to the Forest of Giants and nearby hiking trails. There is also a shuttle service to take you there without having to worry about finding a parking space.

I understand that when one goes camping, the desire is to be one with nature; it is what I seek too. However, when you book a campsite, you expect basic things.I know there is not much that can be done in cases like this but there was a huge yellow jacket problem here. We ended up leaving early because it was so unpleasant to do any cooking/eating while being swarmed. We also had an ant infestation in the bear box making it impossible to actually store any food in there. This was a first for me. The site itself was alright but the ground was not penetrable by stakes. We were also unable to find anybody until our second day when, as we were packing up, someone came by to check us in. Location wise, this is very far south and you can expect a lot of driving to get anywhere. Definitely, not a good spot if you plan on also visiting Kings Canyon.

TINY sites and not level at all. The angle of the spot is really hard to park in. No privacy at all, but fine for a 1 night stop over.

The overall location of Potwisha campground was clean. The trash & recycle never overflowed. The bathrooms were tidy. I never saw personnel at the entrance though.

Visited in late May 2022. The mosquitoes and flies were pretty heavy especially at dusk and sunset during my stay. I think the campsites could also be spaced out a little bit more. I would recommend getting the ones on the outer edges if possible. Otherwise, the restrooms were clean, no issues with water, or critters in the area.

Potwisha is a very quiet campground with nice restrooms, firepits and at a lower elevation that the rest of Sequoia, meaning it was much warmer in early March when I was there. They also have roomy bear cabinets for your food. I really liked this campground and would go back.
