Pretty chilly and vibe place. I recommend to take 180 road and go all the way around to Fresno, to see many beautiful places on the way.

This campground is great for a RV that cant make it up the mountain (ours). Its about ~45mins up an extremely winding road to get to Sequoia NP main attractions. But its closer to town if you need supplies. The campsites are great for tents. Lots of squirrels, gophers, birds, & deer plus each site has a large bear box it store food. There are flush toilets, a dishwashing sink & potable water, no showers. Be sure to bring & use mosquito repellent. Lots of trees offer wonderful shade & tree-climbing for the kiddos. Not very flat so biking or scootering is limited. We enjoyed dry-camping in our 20ft travel trailer but the two sites (#17 & 18) we stayed in were extremely sloped so leveling was a challenge. It was warm during our stay so we either went up the mountain or to the lake during the day. Rangers were friendly & made sure the campsite were tidy.

We enjoyed our visit to Sequoia (June 10-14, 2024). We towed a 22 travel traveler, and we came in through the South entrance. Potwisha was our only option in the park for camping as we were restricted from going further north with the trailer (it was fine with just the truck!). The dump station across the road was very clean and convenient, and Three Rivers (to the South) wasnt farfor ice/gas/etc. It was very hot, so I appreciated that we could use our generator. The campground wasnt crowded and it was quiet. The River nearby was high and roaring. We really liked Site 17big tree for shade and felt private on the door side of the camper. The free shuttle in the park works greatcomes frequently to the various stops. However, you have to drive from Potwisha north to Giant Forest Museum to park to get to the first shuttle stop (that continues north)this beautiful drive is about 30 minutes. From there we took the shuttle and enjoyed Sherman Tree (can be crowded) and hiked The Congress Trail (You have to see The Senate and The House and others!), and to Lodgepole Village (hike to the waterfall and get huckleberry ice cream afterwards), and Wuksachi Lodge (great place to sit on the porch and relax and use WiFi to catch up on email/texts). Lodgepole Village has showers and laundry. We also recommend taking the gray shuttle line from the Giant Forest Museum (or your own vehicle if you go early8am or so) to Moro Rockall ages did this hike up the stairs. You many need bug spray. Then head on to Tunnel Log (drive your own vehicle through it for a picture), and then to Crescent Meadows where you can hike. This road has a very quiet feel and is surrounded by the breath-taking beauty of the Giants. We found 3 nights and 2 full days about the right amount of time for the 2 of us (age 70) in the park. From there we drove to Yosemite!

Everyone was friendly and the flush toilets were great. A few trails near by but it is a 40minute drive or so up to the main sights in Sequoia

Stayed here for only 1 night and it was a very good experience. First time in Sequoia National Park and I will definitely be coming back to stay at this campground and explore the park. Site 17 was perfect for my pop up camper and it was as drive thru so we did not have to back it in. Bathrooms were clean.

Nice campsites. Quiet during off-season (Halloween). Bathrooms ok -- could use a second sink, and a shelf. No water except at restrooms. Slop sink at restrooms. Campfires not allowed. Campground access to Marble Falls Trail.

We didn't like not having the ability to build a fire or charcoal fire. This diminished the experience greatly for us. The facilities and campground was nice.

It was a bit far from the main groves but beautiful windy drive to get to them. The sites were nice and spread out, and facilities were taken care of despite it being the edge of the season.

Awesome campground! Well maintained. We saw deer many times walking through the campsite. No bears thankfully. Enough toilets and running water for comfort. The nearby stream/river is super nice to dip your feet and legs into after a long day of hiking. Beautiful views. You are down in a valley, so it can be warm in summer.

Incredible and peaceful place. The campground is near the Foothills Visitor Centre and convenient for visiting the Park. Our site was clean and spacious, near the toilet and well equipped with the grill and the food-storage box for bears. It was really quiet at night, we could just hear the sound of birds and the river. I loved staying there!
