I loved it! I personally don't mind, but the site is a little slopey. I pitched my tent right under the tree so shade all day long. It gets really sunny at the picnic table so I had my own table right next to my tent during the day. Peaceful quite safe. I would definitely go here again.
There were just a couple things we would want others to keep in mind. First, it gets rather warm. We were there in the beginning of May and we got warm in the afternoon. I would want to plan on being elsewhere during the day (hiking, somewhere in Sonora park) if it were June through August. Second, the campsites can be crooked and close together depending on where you are. Look at the map closely to determine proximity. Finally, we didn’t have a camp host. On our last day, there was a snake in our campground. We don’t know if it was a young rattlesnake or a copycat snake. Either way, we don’t want to mess with it. There are signs near the bathroom to tell your host right away if you come across a snake. My husband went to find the camp host and someone had set up camp there accidentally (they had a different spot) and there was no host to be found. SO I would keep those points in mind if planning to camp here.
We would definitely come back!
