It was wonderful! We camped here in March and the weather was beautiful (but warm sleeping bags are needed). I really loved the site where we were at because we had "private path" to the stream. I think this is the best site.

Great campground. Friendly rangers and camp host (shoutout to huck and his cat), clean bathrooms and plenty of room between sites. We camped in winter and its low enough to stay warm enough. Id come back any time of year! Beautiful river to explore just next to our site (22).

Beautiful and clean campground! The volunteer ranger was super sweet and kind. Our campsite was right next to the river and was perfect!

A lovely campground that was right next to a flowing river. Sites were mostly spaced out with good privacy. Most had level parking but a few were better suited to tents than vehicle camping. It's a twisting road to get there so don't try it with long vehicles or trailers.

Had a great star here for 3 nights 4 days at the end of April 2023. We were in site 22 which is large and private on 2/4 sides. It backs onto the river, which was beautiful to sit by and watch the high spring flow. Four deer walked by our site each day, but were never aggressive and kept an appropriate distance. The bathrooms and garbage bins were close to our site and always well maintained. The wash sink was easy to locate and had very strong water pressure. It is important to not though that this campground has NO showers and the park rangers were unable to provide us with a location we could go to shower during the time we were there. SO be prepared to was down with a bucket and baby wipes if you are staying long. Additionally, there was no ranger stationed at this campground, so if you have an issue you would need to go to the foothills visitors center during their specified hours of operation. This campground was close to 3 beautiful hikes (1. Marble Falls, 2. trail to Hospital Rock, 3. trail across bridge at Middle Fork Kaweah River). The first trail was a strenuous hike with beautiful views of the Marble river and falls. The later two were easy and great for an afternoon walk. The campground was also a short drive from multiple tourist sites, including Hospital rock, tunnel rock, foothills visitors center and the town of Three Rivers. Even with the recent flooding and landslides, all roads and sites were well maintained. The roads work that was taking place never added long delays. The Generals Highway north of Hospital rock was closed at this point, so I cannot speak to the drive from the campground to General Sherman or the other features in that area. Overall, we had a great time! The area was beautiful and worked great for us!

Lot 22 was a great site. Close river access and trees to hang on. Would recommend
