Grounds are well kept and camp host is friendly and informative. We were there early May and the weather was perfect. Lots of bumble bees and lady bugs as well as other insects and snakes. Only saw Black Racers though. The North Fork Middle Fork of the Tule provides a wonderful background as you relax, sleep and fish. Lots of stocked and wild fish around in pockets and pools. Unfortunately the nature trail adjacent to the campground is very overgrown and wasn't worth the effort to explore. The Doyle trail is a challenge due to the narrow trail, uneven grading, and you have to put a bit of effort to get around the private property before you get back to the river or better views. There are a lot of downed trees that you need to carefully get over, under, and around. The campground itself though is awesome!

Wishon is our favorite campground. The campground is not that large so it's peaceful (no loud neighbors.) The hosts are always nice, and very friendly. The best part is the water holes scattered around the campground.

I like the spacious place; river and nature. Facility is clean and host is very kind.

This campsite was gorgeous! A cute 30-40 minute self guided nature trail at the grounds and was 3/4 of a mile walk to a beautiful 6 mile hike on Doyle Trail. The weather was perfect, warm during the day and cool at night with plenty of wood on the grounds to collect for the fire. The camp hosts were wonderful as well and so helpful answering any questions I had and also lending me a can opener when I had forgotten mine at home! 10/10 experience and I will be coming back!
