It's really beautiful - the only thing with a trip in December is that it was really cold and a number of sites were snowed in.

This was, by far, my favorite camping adventure. I was a bit concerned since I’ve never done winter camping, but if you have the right gear, the experience can be unparalleled. The temperature at night was in the low 30’s so plan accordingly. Use google maps for directions to the campground. Apple Maps was sending us to the wrong location. Try to arrive early, as it gets pretty dark by 5:00pm (In November). The campground was empty when we arrived. Randy, our camp host, came to check in on us the next morning. Randy is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Make sure to bring cash, if you wish to buy firewood. We chose site number 20, right by the river down below. It was gorgeous. The sounds of the flowing river created nice ambiance during our stay. I would happily come back to Wishon.

Beautiful views and a nice camping spot. We had a 24ft camper, wouldn’t go bigger due to the narrow twisty roads. The nature trail needed to be better maintained, pretty overgrown with pricker bushes.

Beautiful area and the camp host was wonderful. We were there for the 4th of July weekend so the camp was full. The campsites are spread out and offer some privacy. It was unfortunate that some of the day visitors left behind a lot of trash at the swim holes.

20 is a killer spot. Tucked just enough away from others and right on the river. Soothing waters all day. Vault toilets could use some attention. I get it, they’re vault toilets, but these were pretty rough. Doyle Trail a short walk from the grounds. Serene shaded walk through some forest, not much in that of views but the calm and quiet made up for it.

Loved this out of the way spot. We were the only folks to have an RV (at 25 feet, I think we were lucky to get it into the site) but thought it was a perfect place to camp. The river was flowing... try to get a spot by the river (sites 20, 21). Lots of shade, lots of mosquitoes, too!
