My family just visited.Pros- great location to river and lake, friendly host, family friendlycons- broken table and severe issue with noise of other guests (loud music way beyond curfew)We were in stall 9 and it really was not a great set up compared to other stalls in site.I would likely try other campsites in area before returning to this one.

I specifically made my reservation to include a second vehicle but then was told by campground host that I didnt read the fine print at bottom of reservation that says the forest may charge an additional fee. Making a reservation to camp on public land should not feel like buying a used car. I never carry cash and so I was threatened by the camp host with a ticket and the prospect of armed rangers arriving to wake me up at night over $8.

Host was nice, campgrounds very clean and well maintained. Only complaint but no big surprise: bathrooms smelled TERRIBLE and at times you could smell it from the river.

What a beautiful spot! Far enough away to feel immersed in the nature - sounds of the river rushing nearby are so soothing - but close enough to the Hot Springs!!! Great spot for a larger group to collect across a few close sites, ideal for socially distant gatherings. The host Tom was friendly and so helpful! Be sure to keep track of your trash! And as always, leave it better than you found it!
