Can hear the river all day at this campsite. A lot of bugs but theyre gone after sunset. Close to restroom and water.

Great location, lots of tree cover and large sites. We had multiple spots to pick from to set up our tent. My only complaint is that our site was not marked off as reserved for us, despite making an online reservation. We were able to get things sorted out and the rest of the stay was great. Would go back.

Stony Creek Campgrounds were great! Perfect location in the park being equidistant from the Giant Sequoia groves and Hume Lake. Wonderful trees covering the campground and water running right behind our campsite! The only downside is the lack of showers, but that apparently is the case throughout the park. Would absolutely stay here again!

The location is good in transitioning parks after a long day at Sequoia before the next day visiting the General Grant Tree and heading to Kings Canyon (or vice versa). For $35 you get less than what other campgrounds in national forests provide for $20/night. Specifically this campground has: stand toilets in a centralized location, a nice fire pit with a flip up grill to go over the fire for cooking, and a picnic table. The location was lovely in a pine forest with a stream very close, and theres plenty of wood to scavenge for fires. If you have an RV or camper, know that parking sites are unlevel and dirt. Theres no electric or water hook ups. Its a somewhat overpriced, basic, but lovely campground in a good location along the Generals Highway in Sequoia National Forest between Kings Canyon and Sequioa national parks.
