We stayed at site 033 and it was the best site in the are, it looked like the rest of the sites were on top of each other, there is enough parking for about 4 cars or 2 full size rv or 2 truck and trailer, the camp host did come and introduce himself my apologies if he reads this but I forgot his name but he did make sure that all trash was picked up from the vacant sites as we took a stroll would definitely book this place again.

The higher elevation was wonderful during Ca heat wave. Warm days, cool nights, afternoon showers. I wasn't aware dispersed camping is available for free (no tables, fires), before getting to the pay sites. No potable water is an issue. Nearby drives and hikes are awesome. Meat bees may force you to set up a screen tent, at least in late summer. Misquitos were'nt too bad.

Being in the mountains was the best breath of fresh air ever. The campsite was clean when we got there and the bathrooms where cleaned every day. I particularly liked that the brick outhouses where big enough for a person to go there to change clothes away from the potty hole. During times of "no camp fires" I recommend the propane gas fire pits that allow you to have smore's and hot dogs at the camp site even though you can't have a wood fire place. It still made the camp site fun and kept us respecting the high possibility of unintentional fires.
As to see things in the Sequoias, I highly recommend seeing General Sherman Redwood Tree and hiking over to the bottom of the road to MoroRock. Once there, take the shuttle to both the MoroRock lookout and the Crescent Meadow trail. Those are amazing discoveries. Either hike back to the parking at Sherman Tree or take a shuttle back. This is a perfect day to see the best places in the depths of the Sierra's. What you see, will make you want to tell everyone you know about it!
