Conveniently located, descent distribution of sites, and an excellent campground host. We were there in September so there were no flies to deal with from the nearby stream. The nearby lake trail was as a great hike with beautiful vistas.

Don't try to use GPS to find your campsite. Watch for signs very carefully, they are small and hard to see, follow map given out at enterance. Overall an excellent experience, the scenery and giant trees so impressive. Popular sites are very spread out so be prepared to do a lot of driving, but scenery is spectacular except in burn areas. Do not miss Hume lake, very picturesque and the water is fine! Take some off the main road dirt roads if possible, some of the best scenery there. Nice walk down to see Sherman tree but be aware there is a shuttle to bring you back up. Our grandkids had a ball, loved hiking in the beautiful woods. Lots to see there, we will definately return. Keep up the good work Forest Rangers!

Camps sites are waaaaaay too close to each other. It felt like the camp site next to us was like 2 feet away. They were early risers and we were late nighters so we did impede on other when it came to noise. The were zones and campsite #'s, however, we were just provided with one number. If it wasn't for the last name posted we wouldn't have found it. Ours friends were there at night and there was no way they could identify the site. We recognized their car and waved them down. Creek was right behind us so the bugs were out bugging. Vault bathrooms were clean as they could be so that made it less gross and I was really happy about that. There are lots of trees but don't rely on them to provide shade throughout the day -- we messed up here and didn't bring a pop up. Site 26 picnic table is terrible. One side is so low that it's basically like sitting on the ground. We were lucky we brought our own folding table so it wasn't a problem for us. This site had 3 areas for tents and enough parking for 4 cars. Lots of dirt no grass in case you're wondering. Mid-July reservation

Lots of flies and mosquitos nest to the campground, would not recommend this spot specifically.

Excellent campground. Note there's no water. Our campsite was next to a tiny stream but didn't seem big enough in August to filter. Very cold at night!! but beautiful and quiet, easy access to Kings Canyon and Sequoia NPs.
