Amazing, remote and beautiful! My family recently camped at Big Meadow in site 3B for 3 nights and we loved it. It was an unexpected detour since our regular, annual camping trip to Hume Lake was cancelled by the US Forest Service. We were left scrambling for another campsite 3 days before our departure and were able to get a reservation at Big Meadow since they recently opened. Our big family enjoyed walking the roads through the campground, exploring the stream behind our site, and taking the trail to Weaver Lake. It is a beautiful place if you’re looking to be off the beaten path and away from others. The sites are mostly large, though some are close together. It is 15 minutes from the highway, 25 minutes to Grant Grove, and 36 minutes to Hume Lake. No running water but a clean pit toilet managed by the cool camp host, Joe. We enjoyed playing laser tag, riding bikes, and watching the wildlife (deer and coyotes). There were a lot of bugs and no cell service. We really enjoyed our time at Big Meadow.

Love this spot. Very deep in Sequoia and the camp host Larry is very welcoming. There’s a beautiful meadow behind the campground only a 1/4 mile walk away. 11/10

Nice quiet campground up in the trees. The cows in the meadow provide a little background at night.
No cell phone coverage that I could find, but there is a working pay phone just before the campground if you need to reach out.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
