This spot was great! So close to both Hume Lake and Grant Grove. Our campsite (#86) was one of the smaller ones, but still plenty big enough for our extra large tent + chairs + car. Only one teensy issue: There was a squirrel (we named him Gilbert) who was always in the trees at this campsite and it would CHUCK pine cones down at us without any warning. It got worse the longer our stay went on. At first it was funny, but then Gilbert started aiming them directly in the fire or on our chairs. At times we feared for our lives. We all survived unscathed, but perhaps a warning for future campers is in order. Overall, great place tho!

This campground is awesome. It's huge... with a decent amount of space between sites. We had site 87, and were one of the largest rigs (30ft TT + 18ft Truck) there from what we could tell. We are convinced it was the best site in the whole place. Tons of room, lots of shade and easy to back into. The kids had a safe road they could be on, lots of stumps to climb and jump off. Geri, the camp host/ranger (?), was the best we've ever encountered and we camp A LOT.
Important to note:
There a single dump station at the campground, with potable water.
Motorhomes will have a much more difficult time maneuvering here. But there were some there.
It is 3-4 miles from Hume Lake, which is awesome.... close enough to enjoy on a daily basis, but far enough away that the VERY LOUD Christian camp will be out of earshot.
Christian Camp has gas station, ice and a small general store. DO NOT bring your rig down that road. Gas station is the definition of tiny and is not set up for rigs. Cars only.
Grant General store is a few miles up the road (you pass it on your way in) from the campground. They have ice and a small grocery store.
Both Kings Canyon and Sequoia are very close, so close that you don't even realize you aren't camping in the park.
No showers, but we were able to use our outdoor shower without issue.
There are mosquitos, so bring a netted easy up for the table.
Bear boxes are rather large, which is helpful.
We camped with a group... used sites 74/75 and 86/87. This worked out great. But if you want to be right next to each other, stay in the 80s.

Have fun!
