Beautiful campsite with lots of shade. The only downside is that you can smell a bit of the vault restroom from the site, not too pungent though. The site was relatively flat and we slept comfortably. Would come again!

The camp hosts were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The campground was very clean as well as the restroom facilities. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend so it was packed but everyone was respectful and quiet at night. This campground is a short drive to the visitor center. There is zero reception so be prepared to be completely disconnected from the outside world :) We would stay here again!

Spent a wonderful 2 nights here (sites 31, 33). We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the campground was even though it was over 75% full. Literally couldn't hear anyone during quiet hours and even extended later in the mornings. There were fire crews conducting a prescribed burn (burn piles) adjacent to the campground and meadow, so some chainsaw noise during the day could be heard and it seemed like sites closer to the meadow may have had extra smoke. Most likely this will continue for more days. Even with the burning, we walked the Indian Basin loop (right through the burn operations-but that was allowed), which I would highly recommend. So pretty-many wildflowers and beautiful creek through the meadow. After touring the campground we agreed that sites 29, 31, and 33 are probably the best as far as privacy, and space. It is only 10-15 minutes to Hume Lake and Grants Grove village. Definitely want to come back!

Really beautiful, clean campsite. Great location in between Grant Grove Village and Hume Lake. It was a gorgeous one hour drive from the campgrounds to the main area of Sequoia National Park's museum and other awesome sites. We stayed in campsite #31 along the Shining Cloud "SHIN" loop. It was a nice distance from the bathrooms with two close water spigots nearby. However, our specific site during this time of the year (late June) got a lot of sun and was quite warm. Our tent was under shade but the picnic table was super hot. I think this would be great during the colder months, but for a warm June it was uncomfortably hot. I really liked the site next to us, #33, and I think I might recommend that one over ours. It's a nice walk from the site to Indian Basin grove. There are also a ton of massive sequoia stumps scattered around the grounds, which is pretty cool. Clean bathrooms, potable water, and quiet neighbors. I'd highly recommend.
