Beautiful campsite, felt like sleeping at the edge of a forest with lots of tall trees and wildflowers. There were neighbors to either side, a decent distance apart, and the vault toilet, water and garbage bins were across the front but far enough thanks to a long driveway. Dont miss the loop around the meadow right by the campground, Indian Basin trail! Also recommend checking out Hume Lake nearby.

I booked this campground after reading every review in Kings Canyon/sequoia national forest.Stayed Memorial Day weekend.Beautiful. Small. Lots of families.Sequoia stumps and fallen pines create fun places for kids. Pit toilets but clean.Cool weather. Dress warm.1-2 mile flat path around meadow at camp.Boole Tree road trail head close to camp. 1.5 mile one way, non-maintained road leads to hiking trail. 0.9 miles uphill on the hiking trail leads you to one of the most spectacular trees Ive ever seen!!)Drive into Kings Canyon. Stop frequently if you want a photo of an amazing view or have people prone to car sickness.Wildflowers.Stop at: Grizzly Falls, Roaring River, Zumwalt Meadows.Get tickets online before you go for Boyden Cave. (Worth the $22 per person).Adventure exit may involve wet shoes. You can show up early and they will move you to an earlier time with space. But show up late, you are on standby. We hit General Grant Tree grove on the way out of the park. Beautiful. There is wildfire damage in the park.Minimal damage on highway 180 into Kings Canyon. Did not see but heard it is worse from 180 into Sequoia National Park (towards 198.) We are coming back next May.

2nd time staying at Princess. The site and loop that I chose this round was much better! Perfect for my group as we had our party split into two vehicles and did not mind paying the extra vehicle per night fee. We were right across from the restroom and this loop had more level area for tents. The restrooms were so clean and the check in and site management staff were so pleasant!

Pros: Great location! Be sure to check out King's Canyon. The General Grant Tree was an awesome short stop. There's an easy trail on the campground too. Vault toilets were always super clean.Cons: No firewood for sale. Collect your own or purchase nearby. The foliage is sparse and some spots are pretty close together, so you may not get privacy.
