We ended up not being able to go and tried everything we know to cancel so we could get a partial refund but rec.gov says its the local that would give the refund and the local says rec.gov should get the refund so we guess were just out our refund. Kind of frustrating

Nice campground, but hosts were rarely seen and did not check campers in. They did not enforce the limit of 6 people per campsite, so it was over run with too many people. So frustrating.

Well positioned sites, clean maintained Johns. Plenty of firewood, quiet and close to the lake.

Wonderful campground & helpful host. Had site 75 which was nice and had a fairly big field to one side and a hill up to the campground on the other side. Also could see the road a bi but it wasnt a big deal since traffic at night is essentially 0. Would definitely recommend as a jumping off point for Kings Canyon!

This place is nice and quiet. Surrounded by lots of giant sequoia tree stumps makes it really interesting and you can get right up on them. The bathrooms were clean for being a pit toilet so the camp hosts do a good job. It was a nice spot to get to Kings Canyon and to Hume Lake. Didn't explore around the campsite too much as we were doing other activities in the area. Had to search for wood as they were not selling any, but there was LOTS in the area so no worries there (but bring a saw for some larger logs).

Great location, cool meadow, and clean campground. I would stay there again.
