Our campsite had a yellowjacket hive and so it made mealtime very challenging with 50-100 yellowjackets swarming our cooktops and table. Finally saw camp host and let them know we had found the stump they were living in and they brought over poison but there must have been another one nearby because it did not solve the problem. Also, 1 of the toilets in the women's restroom was out of order all weekend which made for some long lines. Aside from that, it was a beautiful weekend and we had a fantastic time!!

This campground is the first one I visited when I got into camping as an adult. I've returned twice now and absolutely love this campground and the surrounding area. Typically there is running water in the bathrooms here, which makes it a very clean and easy camping experience. My most recent trip (5/2021), there were water restrictions, so instead of nice bathrooms, we had gross porta potties. Needless to say, this was not great, and they really need to add more to each location so they don't fill up by mid-week.Other than the porta potty experience, I'd highly recommend this campground.

Very clean campground; nice shade under giant trees; wood gathering allowed for campfires; site 35 felt private, was close to bathroom and water and a very short walk to the lake, but it was a bit noisy in the day time due to the agricultural center being located right behind it (trucks, generator); no soap or hand sanitizers in the bathrooms!!! bring your own.

This has been a family favorite, for camping, since my parents took us kids back in the 60's
