This is a beautiful campsite on an unbelievably beautiful lake. The sites are nicely place and mostly level. Restrooms are scattered about making it more convenient. There are many hiking trails about and when winter comes the campsite becomes a cross-country trail.

We had a great experience and loved the area but the reservation system is very broken. People should not be able to tie up many days of a campsite with only paying for the first day. There is no incentive for them to be diligent about giving it up. So with the cold and rainy weather there were many "no shows" but the reservation system was locked up showing none. Perhaps if they had to pay more they would be more likely to let the host know so others could use it. If 50% of the camp sites were "first come first served", it would be more reasonable and less cumbersome for the poor camp host who was run ragged. Let's make this wonderful resource more available to more people - not fewer. Since it is so inexpensive to reserve a large block of days, many don't even bother cancelling!

Love Redfish. It is a lot busier than it used to be in the 80's-90's, but still fun.
