I found this site to be very hot and dry ,no breeze off the lake.

This rating is solely for our camp host. It does not reflect the Sawtooth NF, Redfish lake or Glacier View campground. Our group got off on the wrong foot with him when he personally called a few of us in our group a week prior to our trip. When I spoke with him on the phone he proceeded to chew me out and demand that I change my reservation immediately or my spot was going to be canceled upon arrival. I had reserved two spots, one for myself and one for my 71 y/o mother. I wasn't aware you could not have your name on two spots. It was my first time camping there. If he had any customer service skills, I'm sure he could have done a better job relaying his message to me and probably could've even helped me fix any issue I had. The only skill he has is being a bully! I was able to go online and fix my mistake. It was super easy and if he knew anything about his job as a camp host he could have walked me through that process. He was not helpful at all! This camp host was extremely rude, unprofessional, unapproachable, and many other words I cannot share! He has no business dealing with the public. He would be better suited hosting a prison camp back in Mississippi! When you walked up to his camp you were greeted with a vicious dog, a skeleton sitting in a chair and weight bench for him to get his swole on! When I came to check myself and my mom he seemed very irritated and was very unwelcoming. I had been planning this trip since 12/20 and couldn't wait to spend the weekend with my friends. Unfortunately, he made parts of our weekend very frustrating and intolerable. In my opinion he has no business being a camp host or working with people in general. I was really hoping for a camp host that was happy to see us and tell us about all the great things there was to do in the area. All he cared about was our Reservation number, drivers license, and our license plate number on our vehicle. I sure hope other people had a better experience than we did!

When we arrived the host said the loop was closing the next day at noon. Recreation.gov site indicated the sites were to be FF. It wasn’t until later in the day that he came by to say they had changed plans to allow us to stay.
