The camping area is beautiful and clean. The camp host keeps the restrooms immaculate. The reservoir is below the campground so be prepared to drive to the dock or beach. This year the water in the reservoir is higher than the beach. We are kayakers and this is a motorized lake . Great for bigger boats. Not a good year for yaking.

Great NFCG overlooking the McPhee reservoir. Site E-16 w/ 30a elect worked great for us! Close to cute town of Dolores, Canyon of the ancients, and Hovenweep NM. Nice hiking available in the park, and on McPhee overlook trail from nearby Dolores. Really enjoyed our stay - just wish they still had a dump station! There are a couple sites # 25-E & 29-E next to camp host w/ full hookup - would work great for longer stays. Park allows up to 30-day stays!

Our group camp here annually for mountain bike activities in the Dolores/Cortez area. The campground host in the Pinon loop was very attentive & caring; he sent us welcome text messages (a first) and checked in to insure all was OK. Clean restrooms, with flush toilets. This year it was wonderful to see the reservoir filling again. Calm weather allowed us to paddle on the lake. CG was mostly quiet, even on a holiday weekend.

Enjoyed our stay here. Campsite very clean and level. Hosts were very good and friendly - watched them prepare another campsite for someone coming in - they raked it. Restrooms were clean and had flush toilets. They do not have a dump station but there were full hookup sits available. We had electrical which worked very well. We went to Mesa Verde from here which was very enjoyable.

Nice campground but a drive to marina. Also boat launch is extremely steep. Great walking trails, nice Host, and easy commute into Dolores and Cortez. Beautiful Colorado as always. Roomy site, I just don't get why the picnic table and fire pit are Always in the opposite side of your camper door!!

Overall a pretty nice campground. The host seemed almost annoyed that he had to interact with campers.

Great camping, hosts were great. Just wish the RV dump station was working.
