Had a wonderful weekend at House Creek! The campground was well maintained - our site was close to the lake which made it wonderful for cooling down during the hot parts of the day!

We were charged full price for our campsite. However, we did not have full use of the water or the dump station.Before we even got to the campground we were notified that the water would be turned off (eventually restored) and that the dump station was closed. This cg is about 20 miles from the town of Dolores wheere we had to go to fill with water and dump tanks. Thats a whole lot of extra effort and gas money . Fix the dump station or quit charging full price.

Great sites that are spread out with lake views

We our locals and love this CG for a convenient getaway. It was late May, pre Memorial Day weekend, and we were one of three campers in the entire CG. Right on the lake, electricity, quiet and serene. Bathrooms were immaculate, grounds clean and maintained. Perfect weather and convenient to run into Dolores for shopping, eating.

The camp hosts were nice. We moved sites to get access to electric. The cost for the stay did not include RV dump access which is an additional $15. The boat ramp is locked up except for F-Sun which was a major let down. Bathrooms were clean, site was well maintained with the grasses mowed. Fire pit was nice. Very little trees around interior sites which makes it a bit difficult to enjoy sitting outside in camp during the hottest parts of the day. The website doesn't have all the info about cost and what is excluded. Golden passes discounts don't apply to double spaces, good luck figuring out which sites are double. Wish they would put in showers, open the boat ramp daily in summer and include the use of RV dump for paying campers.

With some good timing and luck we were able to reserve our favorite campsite. The camp host greeted us upon our arrival and frequently check the campground. They provided maps and were very friendly. The campground seemed well cared for and the compostable toilets were clean and well supplied. The lake was easily accessed from our campsite for our kayaking and paddle boarding adventures. We biked and hiked the McPhee Overlook trail which was beautiful . We had a great time and will return.

Tent sites are roomy. In one area around the lake, there are a lot of interesting dry logs and sticks. They have mowed to try to discourage snakes but we were warned to watch out for rattlers, as several dogs have been bitten. It was quite windy when we were there. There's not much in that area except the lake, but the mountain bikers seemed happy with the various biking trails.

Pretty area. Really no access to water via a beach. Great if you have a boat.

Plenty of cooler campsites in the area during the summer heat, few trees for shade here. Tons of BLM in the vicinity + shady pinion pine forests for dispersed camping. For a paid site it was a good one, host was fine; rangers very friendly.

We had a family camping trip and it was a great time. I especially loved how the park rangers got called by the camp host and tazed a person because his very friendly dog was off a leash. My recommendations for anyone planning a trip, either don’t bring your dog, or plan on having to leash your dog ALL the time. The camp host drove by multiple times a day to make sure we Obeyed all the camp ground rules. It was a blast!

With lake full very good time boating socializing. The Aussie host was a hoot and really on top of her work.. Very clean restrooms and she was most helpful. Although they just mowed the fields it would be good to do some trimming around the shelters. More effort should go into getting trees growing.

Had a wonderful stay, beautiful spot. I will warn you that there are a lot of mosquitoes. Also, not a lot of cloud cover so it is very warm before the sun goes down. The camp host was helpful and friendly.

Camp host and campsite was great. Only problem I had is the boat ramp is closed Tues. wed. and Thurs.

The site is OK. Too many mosquitos in the summer so you have to prepare some bug spray. I did not find trash cans anywhere, but maybe I did not look around all the camping places. There were no specific flat place for setting up your tents so make sure you have your air-inflated bed.

Great spot, very nice host.
Was very disappointed to have to pay an additional 15 dollars to use the dump station after paying 58 dollars per night for premium site. It should be included with premium paid sites!!!!

The campground was really nice. The road getting there had a large number of pot holes and rough areas that was really aggravating.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
