2 of us "camped" in a 24ft travel trailer on a Sunday-Wed mid Aug 2021. We were in space 014, loop D.
The good. Loop D is not on the main road thru the campground, so less traffic. It is up on the hill and a short distance from the lake, which you can't see from the site. Bathroom is close and clean with a non smelly vented toilet, and nothing else in there. The site has a nice picnic table, fire cooking set up, and adequate space.
The bad. The loop road is narrow, and several sites including 14 are designed so the trailer is just on the side of the road, pull through style. It leaves very little room for other vehicles to get past the trailer, especially with a slide out. Space 14 is very close to ?15. No dump station.

The electric sites are mostly around a small circle. The are called drive thru because you can't even get off the road. Putting a slide out almost blocks the road but since there is little traffic it does work. We have a 30 foot RV and most of these sites are meant for something smaller. There is water around the circle but not at the site. The biggest drawback is no dump station in the entire park! We had to unhook, drive 4 miles north and pay $12 to dump. Very inconvenient.
BUT there is lots to do in the area from the San Juan Highway to Jeep tours and rafting to the Durango - Silverton Railroad. All were great experiences .

Signs needed to direct campers to their site area, our sites were difficult to find
site 15b was not an acceptable space for our RV. Be were camping with 14b and were able to put both RV's on that site and use 15 b for parking. If we had been unable to do that our experience would have been miserable.
The sites need to be level.
