This is a beautiful campsite with a fabulous host. There are access points to get to the lake from your forest sites with a field of butterflies and flowers in between. I'll definitely go back!

The arts is beautiful and the host excellent. He stopped every day to see if we needed anything and reminded us on where he could be found if we needed anything. We will definitely be back again.

Didn't have campers on either side of me, I was in spot 4. It was quiet and great shade. There is a short hiking trail to the water. The fire pits have a grill that you lay on top. It was excellent!

We love this campground! The hosts site and location could not be better. There is a plethora of hiking trails close by. Along with some amazing trout fishing from the banks of the Vallecito Reservoir. I highly recommend going to Vallecito if you have not already. The big bonus is you have 4G service pretty much everywhere around the lake.

The Camp Host Eric, was exceptionally professional and accommodating. The sight was gorgeous. The only negative was the generator noise from a neighbor camper at 6am! Will appreciate more quiet time until 8am at least with generators. Even inverter type generators are noisy at 6am.

I've camped here many times and it is a perfect area to do so. There are many hikes/walks that are nearby. The lake is close to most campsites and there are plenty of activities to do on the lake. The campground seems to be busier on the weekends and holidays. If you are planning on camping here, make sure you reserve a spot a couple of months ahead of time, otherwise, it's first-come, first-serve. The camp hosts are usually nice and friendly. I haven't had much trouble with neighboring campers. Some sites are spaced farther from others and some are closer to other sites. Overall, I love coming up to Vallecito and camping, with many activities to do, it can be a nice getaway destination.
