We stayed at Campsite #96 in Serrano Campground, surrounded by lots of beautiful pine trees. The morning sunlight wasnt too strong because of the shade, which was really nice.It was our first time camping, so we didnt realize how cold it could get in mid-October we definitely didnt bring enough warm clothes and almost froze at night! The campground itself was great very convenient, with restrooms and water access just a short walk away. At night, the sky was full of stars, which was amazing to see. During the day, we drove to the nearby town filled with autumn colors, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. It was such a memorable trip.Wed love to come back again in May, when the weather is warmer that would make it perfect!

Nice shaded campground with a bike trail going through it and a hiking trails near by. This was a wonderful site but warning, there is a double site next to it and the bike trail is right behind the site. I can see houses behind me too. It was still very peaceful with crickets in the evening. I used the showers which were warm but they are the misty kind if that bugs you. Bathrooms were spotless. I hiked Bertha Peak which was a little over 9 miles roundtrip from this campsite. You are on/near highway so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I was here during the workweek and you could hear the cars starting at 4:30 - 5 a.m. Big Bear is close. I plan to return with family members.

I had a great time at this site. I went on the weekdays checked in Tuesday left on Thursday. Very clean, quiet, neighbors were friendly. Park ranger are always driving around checking in on the loops which we thought was a great thing that they did. Showers were available but we didnt get to use them I did notice others had used them though. I went with my girlfriend and our dog. My dog had a bunch of fun and we walked him all through each loop / on the bike path / and to the lake. Another great thing about this campsite is if you need to run to the store it is a short 5-10 minute drive to main town. We will definitely come back again to camp here. Thanks to the staff for keeping the campsite clean!

This was my second trip to this campground. The bathrooms were clean and the whole campground was well maintained. We camped in site 96 this past trip. I believe its the best secluded site . Its tucked back under the trees and the pedal path is towards the back of the site.

Beautiful campground with spacious sites, kept very clean, friendly and attentive staff. Only downfall is that the themselves showers were terrible, outdated mist sprays and only 1 of the four had hot water. So come prepared with your own shower capabilities if you are needing to do that during your stay! Otherwise, I definitely look forward to camping here at this nice, quiet campground again.

The campground and overall location were fabulous! It was my first camping experience in California and my first night on a campervan trip. Staying at Serrano was a great way to begin my journey. It was my own oversight to not consider how the high altitude (approximately 7000 feet) would affect the weather so greatly. Even though it was relatively warm everywhere else in my trip, it was dipping below freezing at night in the Big Bear Lake region. This is an a complaint, but more of a surprise and it allowed me to try out my winter camping skills a bit more.I think it would be nice to visit the area in the summer so I could make more use of the lake and hiking, but I certainly enjoyed everything already on my two nights day.One thing that was especially nice was that it was less than 10 minutes to drive into Big Bear Lake, so it was very convenient, but did not feel like I was close to civilization at all.

What a beautiful campground! Quiet and embedded in scenic, tall pine trees that gives the campground plenty of shade. Bathrooms were so clean. Walking down to the lake was a breeze. Fun activities include kite flying, fishing, hiking, and bike riding. If you want to go on the lake, you must have a permit. We absolutely loved our trip!

It was great experience. But this site does not have good sun exposure, if you come to cold weather, it's too cold due to lack of sunlight. It's will be a great choice at summer.

Beautiful spot right next to the pedal path. Quick walk down to a trail to the lake. Surrounded by beautiful pine trees! Campsite was really clean and not really close to the adjacent campsites. Bathrooms just up the path and they were cleaned and sanitized often. Staff is very friendly! Our new favorite campground!

Best campground!! I camp a lot and this place has the best people working to make the experience a good one. The sites are always cleaned before you arrive and the staff are super friendly. It's such a great vibe. You can swim at the lake and use the bike path.

No showers ! After hiking 9 hours and 18 miles I really wish I would have known that. I spent over $100 and couldnt even have a shower. So disappointed

This was our first visit to Serrano campground (Site 96) and will definitely be back. Although a large campground, it was quiet, the sites were large and there were a lot of room between sites. A nice, easy walking path along the lake adjacent to the campground and hiking trails across from the entrance. We went a couple of weeks after the campground reopened due to COVID-19 and we were also happy with frequency that the bathrooms were cleaned.
