Beautiful campground! Close to lake and town, but you feel so secluded once inside. HUGE sites, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We liked this third visit to Serrano Campground as before. However we were located a bit further from the restrooms than the last times and since our neighbors were a bit closer, this time it was a little less tranquil. When we mentioned to the camp host that our neighbors had not respected the 10:00 p.m. quite time, the camp host said he would talk to them. We noticed they were gone that same morning and we stayed-on another night and the new neighbors were super quiet. After having a look at other campsites, we'll definitely come back.

My family and I have been coming to Serrano for the past 20 yrs. Sometimes its 6 of us, sometimes its 10 and only a few times has it been more than 10. Every 5 years or so our extended family joins us. I was unsure of how many people to expect, so I rented 3 campsites. Thats 24 people. We were told by the camp host that we were taking too long to unload. We did take all day to unload because people drove up at different times. We all couldnt arrive at 11am and due to parking the unloading would have been impossible. So people arrived from 10am to 7pm. We were also told that it wasnt our own personal campground and we had a lot going on. Not nice. Not only was our campsite inspected but the camp host went around asking our neighbors if we were invading their space or okay with us? Ive been to Serrano so many times and I cant tell you the amount of times Ive seen rowdy crowds, loud crowds, and even though we had a lot of people we are always very considerate. Mind you of those 24 people about 10 were under the age of 18. The camp host even went as far to tell us that 16 on a site is 16 and our other family members on the third campsite couldnt congregate with us as that would be too many people on the campsite. My cousin even asked him, so if we want to invite neighbors to come have a beer or dinner with us, we cant? and he said no and he didnt make the rules. We are a family of cooks and sharing meals is a very important part of our tradition as a family. We were even warned that if anyone complained about us we may be asked to leave even at 2am. We definitely felt singled out and it changed the vibe of our trip. It made us conscious of everything and we just couldnt relax. We are a Black family and I dont want to use race as an issue but it was definitely brought up. I think itll be awhile before we go back if ever. We are already seeking other campgrounds.

Electricity was out in only a FEW of the spots, not the entire campground that was reserved for hookups. Only reason we purchased the site was for the electricity to run our A/C - but we happened to be in one of the spots with intermittent electricity. Campground infrastructure needs serious updating - Forest Service isn't investing any of the fees in campground upkeep.

Love this place! It's always clean, well maintained and hosted by the most friendly folks. Location can't be beat with handy access to the bike trail and walking distance to the shore of the lake. The bike trail has recently been expanded to reach almost the whole way to the farmers market that is held every Tuesday and from there it's an easy ride on quiet back roads to the airport for a terrific breakfast!

Stayed in the Snowberry RV loop and was pleasantly surprised how nicely spaced apart the sites are - especially for having full hook-ups. Beautiful campground, very clean, great management. Highly recommended.

This was very tidy and well kept campground. There was a little road noise from the Lake Road, but the campground was quite at night. Full hookups was a nice bonus for a reasonable fee. We will stay again.

Beautiful campground in the tall pines. Spacious sites with FHU in one loop. Clean facilities and close to the lake. Great bike and walking path. The camp host are wonderful and so helpful. A favorite place for us.
