We recently stayed at Serrano Campground and had a wonderful experience. The campsite was spacious and offered plenty of room between neighbors, which made it feel private and relaxing. Each site was well-maintained and clean, with sturdy fire pits that included built-in grillsperfect for cooking outdoors. All of the campground hosts we met were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. The bathrooms were also clean and well-kept, and we appreciated seeing them being attended to regularly. The only downside was the condition of the shower facilities. While we did observe staff cleaning them daily and doing their best, the showers still had a persistent musty smell and visible mold on the walls. This seems to be an issue related more to age and ventilation than cleanliness. Out of the five showers in the Evening Star loop, only three were operational during our stay.Despite this, our overall experience was very positive. The campground is within walking distance of the lake and the paved Pedal Path, which was great for biking and walking. Theres also a small convenience store nearby, making it easy to grab last-minute items. We would absolutely recommend Serrano Campground to friends and plan to return in the future.

Plenty of Shade. Site is clean and well kept. Close to water spigot. Loved this site. Camp is clean and hosts are amazing.

We have been coming to Serrano for 20 years now. It is always well kept and everyone is courteous and helpful. The location is great for going off roading, hiking, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing and bird watching. It is away from the city lights and traffic, but isn't that what you want when you're camping? Grocery stores are only a 10 minute drive, along with restaurants and other activities.

Plenty of shade in the campground, but still plenty of room. Bathrooms very cleaning with flushing toilets and my daughter was excited to find out there were showers. We also did a lovely ride on the bike trail that runs along the lake edge and around to the town of Big Bear Lake. We would come back!

Always a pleasure to stay at Serrano. Kiosk rangers are always the nicest.

Always wonderful camping here. Though I'm looking forward to when the showers reopen.
